Between my Open Studio in late November, the too many holiday shows to prepare for right up to the end of the year, and a trip to Colombia for two weeks in January, I had little time or bandwidth to focus on painting. However, I am nearly back to normal now and have produced seven new small squares so I’m no longer feeling like such a slouch. I do have to cull my photographs from Colombia both for a travel album and because the colors, lushness and reality of all the people I met there will be coming through in future artwork – when I”m ‘organized’. So here are the new pieces since the beginning of the year (from the bottom right, clockwise: my Oranges & Plum series of 3; 1 new orange abstract; 3 new Deco Squares)
